Action & Rifle Compatibility
What actions are compatible with the S2Delta RS-C chassis?
The RS-C is built for the Remington 700 footprint and R700 clones. Compatible actions include:
- Remington 700 (short and long action)
- Bergara B-14 series (extensively tested, drops in without modification)
- Zermatt / Bighorn Arms
- Impact Precision 737R
- Terminus Apollo
- Weatherby 307 series
- Aero Precision Solus (no bedding required)
- Christensen Arms Ridge Scout
Actions with a trigger hanger, such as the ARC Coup De Grace and Kelbly, generally have fitment issues and may require gunsmithing. Contact us before ordering.
Which rifles are not compatible?
The RS-C only accepts actions that use the Remington 700 footprint. It is not compatible with the Howa 1500, the CVA Cascade family, the Ruger American, or the Browning X-Bolt. We do not offer an undrilled blank inlet.
Is the RS-C compatible with the Bergara B-14?
Yes. Our co-founder has personally built multiple rifles with Bergara B-14 barreled actions in the RS-C. They drop in without modification or bedding.
Is the RS-C compatible with the 6.5 PRC?
Yes. A short action chassis is the correct choice. Our team has built multiple 6.5 PRC rifles in the RS-C. AICS magazines for 300 WSM work well.
Is the chassis ambidextrous?
No. Our current RS-C chassis are right-handed only. Earlier ambidextrous versions have been discontinued.
What magazines are compatible?
The RS-C uses AICS-compatible magazines. We recommend Magpul PMAG AICS magazines, which feed well with Remington, Bergara, and Zermatt actions.
Is the Magpul PRS stock compatible with the RS-C?
No. We recommend using S2Delta buttstocks, which are designed to mate with the chassis system. The chassis is compatible with an AR15 carbine tube.
What is the maximum barrel diameter the chassis supports?
With M-LOK accessories installed, barrels up to 1.15" in diameter fit without interference. Larger diameters, including a 1.25" straight contour, still fit but may require filing or grinding the M-LOK nuts to clear. Barrel diameter right at the receiver face varies by manufacturer, so near the receiver treat clearance as "may need filing" rather than a guarantee.
Without M-LOK hardware installed, barrels up to 1.35" in diameter fit.
What barrel lengths will fit?
- Standard 12" short action forend: no maximum barrel length. It fits 16", 20", 24", and 26" barrels.
- 8" forend (18.5" overall length version): designed for barrels up to about 12.5", ideal for suppressed or compact builds.
- Long action (10" forend): for 7 PRC, .300 Win Mag, and other long action cartridges.
Which actions have trigger hanger fitment issues?
Beyond the ARC Coup De Grace and Kelbly, the Kelbly Nanook is also affected. Some Impact actions have been reported to need clearance work despite the Impact 737R being listed as compatible. If you are unsure about your action, contact us before you order.
Buttstocks & Stock Adapters
What is the length of pull range on the Magnesium Skeleton Buttstock?
The Magnesium Skeleton Buttstock adjusts from 13.25" to 15.75" length of pull. Extension plates with longer screws are included for taller shooters. This range fits youth hunters as young as 10 years old. The buttstock weighs under 11 oz and has a tool-less cheek riser, QD sling swivel sockets, and an M-LOK slot for a bag rider or monopod.
Can the cheek riser be mounted on the left side?
Yes. The cheek riser adjustment screws can be secured on either the left-hand or right-hand side of the buttstock.
Does the folding stock adapter work with AR-style stocks?
Yes, with standard carbine buffer interface stocks only. It does not work with full rifle-length AR stocks. See the Carbine Folding Stock Adapter.
How much length of pull does the folding adapter add, and what does it weigh?
The adapter adds approximately 2" to your length of pull and weighs just under 6 oz. To keep your original length of pull, add our Short Aluminum Stock Tube, which connects between the folding adapter and the buttstock.
Can a 1913 (Picatinny) rail be added for a folding stock?
S2Delta does not currently offer a 1913 rail option. The buttstock uses a standard carbine buffer interface. Third-party carbine tube to 1913 rail adapters may work, but we have not verified.
Is there an aftermarket recoil pad?
No. The recoil pad is a proprietary integrated design, so there is no aftermarket replacement. We have a softer coil pad available for purchase.
Specifications & Weights
How much does the chassis weigh?
| Configuration | Weight |
| Aluminum RS-C complete (short action, with stock and grip) | 3.1 lbs |
| Mg-Lite complete (short action, with stock and grip) | 1.76 lbs |
| Mg-Lite chassis only (lightest short action version) | 0.9 lbs |
| Mg-Lite long action complete | about 2.9 lbs |
How much do the M-LOK weight sets weigh?
Solid steel weights are 12 oz/pair. They come in a QD (quick-detach) version and a standard version. Both are nitride-coated carbon steel, made in the USA. Over-molded Core-Ballast weights are 14 oz/pair.
What colors and finishes are available?
- Aluminum RS-C: black anodized and Heavy Blue (blue anodized)
- Magnesium Mg-Lite: Gun Metal Gray cerakote
Custom colors and camo patterns are not currently available.
What is the Heavy Blue chassis?
Heavy Blue is the aluminum RS-C in a blue anodized finish. Blue is the only color it comes in. It ships with a black steel tube on the buttstock and M-LOK weight sets installed on the forend. Because the M-LOK hardware comes installed, the 1.15" barrel clearance applies unless you remove the weights.
Do you sell blemished chassis at a discount?
From time to time, yes. Cosmetically blemished chassis are sold at a reduced price and are fully functional. Check s2delta.com or contact us to ask about current inventory.
What hardware comes with the chassis?
Every chassis ships with front and rear action screws, shims, a thumb rest, and thumb rest screws. The shims are for the rare case where action tolerances let the action screws protrude far enough to interfere with the bolt. Slide a shim onto the action screw before installing it, so it sits between the screw head and the bottom of the chassis. This spaces the head off the chassis, so the screw threads less deeply into the action and its tip stays clear of the bolt.
What size are the action screws, and what torque should I use?
The action screws are 1/4"-28 socket head cap screws in black-oxide alloy steel, available in a 1" fully threaded length or a 2" partially threaded length.
What torque do I use to attach my barrel, and what hardware holds the barrel in the chassis?
S2Delta specifies the action-to-chassis connection only (action screws, 65 in-lb). The barrel free-floats in the forend, so no hardware attaches the barrel to the chassis. Barrel-to-action torque depends on your action and barrel design (tenon, threads, recoil lug, and action style) and involves headspace, so it is a job for you or a gunsmith. Installation & Setup
Where can I find installation instructions?
- Scan the QR code on the insert card in your package for installation videos.
- s2delta.com has current installation video links.
- On YouTube, search "S2Delta chassis install" for full build-from-scratch videos.
If you have a specific question, email us and we will walk you through it.
Do I need to bed the action?
No. S2Delta chassis are designed for a drop-in fit, so bedding is not required. Torque the action screws to 65 in-lb, as listed on the included insert card.
How do I register my chassis for warranty?
Register at s2delta.com/register. You can also scan the QR code on your packaging. If the QR code does not work, email info@s2delta.com with your order number and we will register you manually.
Ordering & Stock
How do I know if an item is in stock?
If a product can be added to your cart on s2delta.com, it is in stock and ready to ship. We do not have a backorder feature, so out-of-stock items cannot be purchased on the site.
Can I buy just the chassis without the buttstock and grip?
Yes. The chassis, buttstock, and grip are sold individually. Assembly takes 5 to 10 minutes, and video guides are on our website and YouTube.
Is it cheaper to buy components separately or the complete build?
It depends on current promotions. During sales on individual components, buying parts separately can cost less. The complete build includes an assembly cost but saves you the build step.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
Contact us right away at info@s2delta.com. We will do our best to cancel or modify your order before it ships. Refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days.
Do you ship internationally or to Puerto Rico?
We ship within the continental United States only. International customers can order through Amazon and use a freight forwarder for customs and final delivery.
Do you have a storefront or offer local pickup?
No. We do not have a public storefront and do not offer local pickup. Our Albuquerque address (Suite 119, 9445 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114) is for receiving mail and returns only.
Shipping & Tracking
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 1 to 3 business days from Albuquerque, NM. We ship every day except Sunday and Tuesday. Carriers include UPS, FedEx, and USPS depending on your order, and transit is usually 3 to 5 business days.
We are a small two-person operation. If your order has not shipped within 5 business days, please reach out and we will personally follow up.
How will I receive my tracking number?
You will get an automated email when your order ships. If items ship from multiple locations, you may receive separate tracking emails. If you do not receive tracking within the expected window, contact us at info@s2delta.com.
Will all items in my order ship together?
Not always. Chassis and bags ship from our Albuquerque warehouse. Slings and weight sets may ship separately from an Amazon fulfillment center. Multiple tracking emails are normal and do not indicate a problem.
Returns, Exchanges & Warranty
What is your return policy?
We accept returns for a full refund, less shipping charges, unless the product was defective at our fault.
Refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days of receiving the item.
I received a damaged or defective product. What do I do?
Contact us with photos and your order information. We will resolve it with a replacement, store credit, or a full refund. We stand behind our products.
What if a part breaks during normal use?
Contact us with photos. If a component breaks under normal use, we will send a replacement. The magazine release lever is field-replaceable: drive out the pivot pin with a punch, swap the lever and spring, and reinsert the pin.
Rounds are not feeding smoothly. What should I check?
The magazine latch is intentionally set on the longer side of tolerance so it can be filed down if needed. Try:
- Filing the latch slightly and retesting
- Switching to Magpul AICS PMAG magazines
- Sending us a short video of the feeding issue at info@s2delta.com
We are developing an adjustable magazine latch for future production.

Shooting Bags
What shooting bags does S2Delta offer?
- C-Shape Shooting Bag: medium size for prone shooting and barricades. Works as a front or rear bag.
- Rear Squeeze Bag: compact rear support for positional shooting.
- Bag Rider: attaches to your rifle's buttstock and holds a shooting bag in place while you move, so the bag is already positioned for rear support when you get on target.
All bags ship within 1 to 3 business days from Albuquerque, NM.
What is the Bag Rider and how does it work?
The Bag Rider is a buttstock-mounted accessory that secures your shooting bag to the rifle while you carry or transition between positions. When you get on target, the bag is already in place under the stock, with no fumbling to set it separately. It is made for hunters and field shooters who need fast, stable positional shots, and it works with our C-Shape and Rear Squeeze bags. It measures 4.950" long and 0.700" thick, with mounting holes spaced 0.787" apart, and is made in the USA.
Are the bags suitable for PRS and NRL competition?
Yes. Our bags are used in PRS, NRL Hunter, and NRL22 competitions, and our team uses them on hunts and at the range.
Slings & Accessories
What sling types does S2Delta offer?
We offer a USA-made 2-point rifle sling in three attachment configurations:
- QD (Quick Detach): QD sling swivel ends
- C.L.A.S.H.: hook-style ends
- Pigtail: loop-style ends
The sling is modular, so attachment ends are swappable. It comes in Black, Tan, and Green. A removable padded shoulder insert is sold separately.
What material are the sling buckles made from?
The buckles are a high-strength nylon polymer. We have never had a buckle failure reported under normal use.
The sling is uncomfortable against my skin. What can I do?
The 2"-to-1" hardware transition can rub without padding. The best fix is our removable padded shoulder insert, which fits the QD sling. Contact us for help getting set up with one.
